About Gumdrop
A neighborhood salon on Devine Street
Shaunta Simmons owns Gumdrop. Students stop in between classes, families come on Saturdays and regulars have been coming for years.
We keep the room simple: tables by the window, a wall of colors and a couple of chairs for waiting. Walk in on a break, bring the kids for a manicure or book a longer set, and we will tell you how long it will take before we start.

How we work
Three things we keep the same
A time before we start
We tell you how long a service takes and what an add-on adds, so you can plan your day.
Your length, your shape
Short and plain or long and painted, you choose, and we file it to suit your hands.
A seat for everyone
Students, parents with kids, and people who have sat in the same chair for years.
Clean tools
Cleaned between every client
Metal tools are washed and disinfected between clients.
Each client gets a new file and buffer, and we lay the tools out on a fresh towel at your table. If you would like to see how, ask at the counter.
